Time to pass the baton

I am officially passing this website on to Max to manage, as he’s old enough now (and I obviously haven’t updated it in years). I’m very curious to see what stuff he’ll come up with.

Book Week

Max is working on his costume for Book Week!

Hockey!

First early morning hockey today!

Mr Popper’s Penguins

Today we went to the Criterion Theatre to see Mr. Popper’s Penguins. It was one of my fav books when I was his age.

He picked out an appropriate shirt to wear all on his own. He loved the show so much he immediately asked if we could go again. It even “snowed” in the theatre.

Lovely time! And afterwards was sushi with a new friend, so a banner day all around.

Max Observations

Max: Dad, do you have a sense of humour?

Dad: Not really, no.

Max: That explains a lot.

Christmas Carols

Forms 3 and 4 gave a lovely singalong Christmas carol concert today. Max sang nice and loud!

I think he had fun. 🙂

Fencing

Max is loving fencing and I finally got an action shot of him. He’s the one in the back.

Getting Serious

Max is teaching Mommy how to play Pokémon for real.

Max’s style lasagna

Max and I came up with a new dish: tobiko lasagna. It’s what he wanted for dinner: alternating layers of seaweed, rice, tobiko (flying fish roe) and furikake. He hates normal lasagna (he only likes cheese on 🍕).

Learning how to make won ton

Max learned how to make won ton from Grandma. He peeled the shrimp 🍤 all by himself! He did a good job folding them too.
