Halloween

Just realized I didn’t post any pictures of The Max in his Halloween costume. So…here you go!

He was, of course, a knight. We made his treat bag, since we couldn’t find one to buy. We went out with the family upstairs and found Elgin and Blenheim to be the best streets to visit (because, apparently, they have a larger concentration of American expats). Halloween isn’t as widely celebrated over here. We tried a few houses on less-American streets and wound up with a few befuddled older gentlemen scrambling for something to give Max (which was sweet). So he had a few non-traditional things in his bag too…like a 50p piece and an orange.

He had a lot of fun and, amazingly, we still have a fair amount of his Halloween candy left still.

Pirates and Princesses

The Max had another birthday party to go to yesterday, this time for a girl in his class. This was the first “girl” party and it was a pirates and princesses theme. You can guess what Max dressed up as (and no, we didn’t have to buy any new costumes!).

He had a really fun time. He loves birthday parties. I think he’d go to one every day if he could. Happily, he’s feeling much better now. The last week of half-term he was sick and we didn’t leave the house. Things are going much better now.
