First 1H Assembly

Max has been so excited for his first assembly of the year.

He practiced and practiced his line. He did a wonderful job and spoke up nice and loud.

And was pleased to show off his rainbow painting.

Daddy and I are really proud of our boy.

Writing a letter

Max writing a letter to a boy he met in Greece (the boy lives in Yorkshire).

Quote

And so it begins…

Max: “Clio says that right now girls have eggs in their tummies that become babies! But don’t tell Daddy I learned that at school.”

Experimental Dinner

Max’s Sunday Experimental Dinner: rice cubes with chicken, broccoli, and onion topped with black sesame seeds and lumpfish caviar. And corn, chicken, a tomato, pita chips and a sesame seed cornet (from the French Laundry cookbook) stuffed with creme fresche, onion, and salmon. Yeah. That’s my little dude.

The Hobbit game

We got a game today and are having a game night. Rated for six + but Max has kicked my butt.

Max has also declared Sunday and Monday to be his experimental days. So far he has tried miso soup and a few different kinds of sushi. Tonight Daddy is making stuff from the French Laundry cookbook.

Max’s first sushi

He already loves rice and seaweed so…

First Swim Lesson

Max is trying out his first swim lesson today.

You never know…

Planning

“Mommy, the next time it’s sunny on the weekend, I’m going to go to the countryside and capture a lizard and take it home. Then I’m going to put rice cube behind glass and see if he goes for it. If he tries to jump, he’ll hit the glass and he won’t get the rice cube. The glass won’t fall down.”
