Nice day out today so we’re out at Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park.

Carter’s Steam Fair and goodbye Jasper

Last Sunday was a good and bad day. We had to give Jasper back to the rescue we got him from. While he was the perfect dog 98% of the time, he had an issue from his past where he would snap if he felt threatened or startled.

We’d thought we could deal with it and hopefully train him out if it (though we wouldn’t have taken him home if we’d been told beforehand). But he bit me rather seriously on my right eyelid and fingers. Too seriously for us to chance keeping him with Max around. So they came and got him Sunday and he’s going to be thoroughly assessed this time and looked at by a behavioural specialist. We miss him but think it is for the best. He really needs a family without kids. I would never forgive myself if he bit Max as badly as I was bitten.

So that was the bad part. The good was that we went to an old fashioned fair and it was really cool. Cheered Max right up.

Loved the old timey machines too.

And The Max and Dad ruled at dodge ems (bumper cars).

And there was candy floss! (aka cotton candy)
