Surreal homework

Max did a rather surreal job on his homework sentences today. Maybe it is the fever.

Superhero Max

I still haven’t posted the pictures from when we went to the Comic Convention the other weekend. But here is The Max, as drawn by one of the artists there.

Night night

We are trying out Marley upstairs for the first time all night with The Max. We will see how it goes.

First there was reading.

And now sleeping.

Max at the game!

Max at the QPR game! That’s my little dude.

Apparently he got to meet @JamiedReid as well!

QPR

Max is off to his very first football match with Daddy! It’s the local team, the Queens Park Rangers.

Max’s Geek Cred

Max has serious Geek Cred even beyond what we think we’ve taught him. One of the staff at our local pub, a young guy of about 23, has some tattoos. Tony and I had noticed one in particular that looked familiar but didn’t think much about it or realize exactly what it was. But Max? He takes one look and says “Hey! That’s a Rebel Alliance tattoo!”

Yeah, that’s my boy. And Geek Fail on my part. I should have recognized it too!

Everyone loves Max

Max wanted to go to our local pub tonight for his birthday. They all know him by name (this is where they go when I have D&D night or where I take him when Daddy works late). They brought him cake and sang him happy birthday.

During dinner we debated House Harkonnen vs House Atreides.

Birthday parties and rocking on.

Max is six (well, almost…he’ll be six tomorrow). Yesterday was his Disco birthday party…with 36 kids. Whew.

I made the cakes.

Both of them. They took all day.

The party was craziness. Max got more presents than he knew what to do with (actually, that’s a lie…he knew what to do) .

He especially liked his new bow and arrow and had to try it out right away.

Today he wanted to go to Forbidden Planet to get some new comics and Pokemon stuff. On the way back we went by Hank’s.

And kind of spur of the moment got Max his big birthday present.

An electric guitar.

He’s having a banner birthday. Now to set up lessons…

Asterix

This week is Book Week and Max wants to go as Asterix. We worked on the costume this weekend.
