Pix!

We have been hitting some of Max’s favourite places for lunch during his holiday break. Yesterday was sushi at Eat Tokyo (tobiko, salmon skin rolls and cucumber rolls mostly for the little man).

Today was Pix in Soho because they are having a great lunch time deal while their street is under construction (a tenner for unlimited tapas). Max says cheers with a chocolate dessert churro… I’m not sure how many fancy Serrano ham sandwiches and albondigas he ate. Yum!

Novelty Automation

Today we checked out Novelty Automation near Holborn and had fun with some of the craziest coin operated thingamajigs I have ever seen. You can test your bravery with an automated dog (Max made it just past brave). I won’t tell you what made him pull his hand back in case you try it.

You can play ping pong by riding bicycles. Probe an alien.

Try to trick bankers or see if you can handle nuclear waste disposal (hint: not so easy as Homer Simpson made it look).

So much craziness. Max loved it. You can even get love advice from a Barry White soundalike.

He’s already planning on taking Daddy back to try it out. He wonders if Daddy is brave enough to stick his foot in the Chiropodist machine.

Warhammer lesson 2

Today was lesson number two for Max on how to play Warhammer. He pulled out a victory in the end, but it was a close battle!

They were really concentrating on the dice. Next week we need to bring a ton of new guys, so we have some serious gluing and painting to do!

Max’s First Mini!

He put his own spin on it (of course), but here is Max’s very first mini, done very nearly entirely by himself (I helped with the belt and lightning bit on the shield). There’s even blood spatter on the hammer.

And be sure to check out the close up!

And the back of it too. His name is Warrick Warhammer.

Mini Painting time

Max and his friend decided to do some more layers on their minis. They are doing great! Good thing I already had a lot of paint and brushes. 🙂

Warhammer

Max and a friend had their introduction to Warhammer today (Age of Sigmar). They started painting a mini each, gluing it together and everything.

Then they picked out some of the store’s good guys and tried out a battle. They rolled well and completely decimated the bad guys with their lightning attacks!

If Max looks concerned in that picture it’s because he was about to be attacked. Next lesson next Wednesday! We have some painting to do!

Easter Sushi!

We went to a friend’s house for Easter lunch and had homemade sushi and takoyaki. Max enjoyed making it (especially putting as much tobiko (flying fish roe) on his hand rolled sushi as he wanted. A lovely time with great food! He also learned to play Just Dance on the Wii.

Hoppy Easter!

Marley barked at the Easter Bunny, but that didn’t stop him visiting.

Smiles all around! Even from the chocolate!

Decorator Max

Max was in charge of decorating the Easter Cake.

Good Friday Day Out

This term break is starting out with excellent weather (only expected for today), so we are out and about.

We stopped by Games Workshop and scheduled a lesson for next Thursday. Picked up Poe Dameron at CEX Games. Walked to Chinatown and had lunch at Max’s favourite (Gerrard’s Corner) with Daddy, then off to Orbital Comics.

Now it turns out the free daily coffee Mommy can get from Patisserie Valerie includes cake on Fridays! A banner day for sure.
